GRAPE VARIETIES: 60% Syrah – 40% Grenache

SOIL: A by Château Rivière “Les Carmes” is located on old schist and limestone terraces in Languedoc.
South orientated, centenary vines associated to young vines of Syrah and Grenache give fine and well balanced grapes.

TASTING NOTES: A deep, ruby-red robe with hints of purple.
Wonderfully intense nose, with rich dark fruits (blackberry and blackcurrant).
Its maturing in barrel adds hints of grilled almonds and vanilla.

VINIFICATION: A manual harvest and carbonic maceration is used for the old vines.
The aromatic varietals are vinified in prefermentation to extract long, blended and silky tannins so they give all their expression to the grapes.
